What's New In Alien Fighters (Especially In The Book 1 Bolt's Of Leadership)?

I would lie, but editing is actually good. I won’t say it’s fun, because that would be too much, and let’s be honest, there’s absolutely nothing fun about dealing with trauma, breakdowns, and full on impersonation syndromes all in one manuscript.

But yeah… it is good. Writers like me out there know the drill. Editing gives us a chance to weed out blunders, chop down the word count, catch sneaky plot holes, and make our books shine brighter than a sparkly Voivalite crystal.

Buuut then there’s the not-so-fun part: the sudden new shiny ideas trying to pry their way into your perfectly plotted story. And it’s not that the ideas are bad. No. It’s their timing. That terrible, traitorous, tragic timing.

Here’s how it usually goes for writers like me:

Me: Peacefully editing my finished draft.
Brain: What if Anna didn’t eat the garbage? What if she just made them think she did?
Idea: That way Isabella could just…
Me: Ooooh. Twisty. Cool. But nope. Already written.
Idea: But I’m better! Fans would speculate!
Me: I know, but… the stress.
Idea: Pleaseeee.
Me: GO. AWAY.
Idea: No. I’m not leaving until you sign me.
Me: (100 arguments later) …and so Isabella was shocked to learn that Anna never ate the trash. The end.

And that, my loyal readers, is exactly what’s been happening between me and ‘Alien Fighters’ lately.

I’ve completely rewritten ‘Bolts of Leadership’ since I gleefully announced “I’m done!” back in May. (Spoiler: I was not done.)

The rewrites happened for lots of reasons: originality, balancing science and fantasy, character arcs, lore potholes—I mean plot holes—or just plain old editing madness.

There are tons of new terms now, too, even though I posted an alien glossary some months back like a sensible person. Ha.

For example:

I don't know if you noticed I said Voivalite crystals instead of Zyronian crystals. That's because the alien planet is now called Voivale, no longer Zyrona.

The Spiritworld? Used to be Nekronis. Now it’s officially Beldom (yes, I teased it in the glossary too, but now it’s official).

Even the mighty Forces of Zyrona got a makeover! They’re now the Demuri Cycle, with brand new names, vibes, and identities.

Oh, and Voivale’s version of Earth’s A.I.? Once called AB (Alien Brilliance). Now? She has a total rebranding too and even evolved into her own thing in the book.

But the biggest, sparkliest, most dramatic change of all?

✨The Fighter Verse.✨

It’s basically our superhero HQ. It's like Hotel Deucalion from Nevermoor if it were designed by an alien scientist obsessed with crystals, drama, and hyper-realistic holograms.

Imagine Meta Horizons, but without the annoying headsets.

It’s a colorful, glowing, simulation-filled crystalverse spread under Mount Tams. It all started when I was like, “Hey, what if my superhero base wasn’t just another white-wall, CCTV Power Rangers command center?”

And, boom. The Fighter Verse.

Yes, it’s cute and all. (Shhhh… it’s secretly my favorite part of the story.) But it also means I now have to rewrite every single scene that took place in the old base.

Hmph!

Talk about the end.

So yeah. That’s what’s new in Alien Fighters. Just casual world-ending ideas, lore chaos, and crystal-powered rewrites.

But that's that about me. What’s going on in your life over there? Any new drama? New tea? New plot twists?
